Zaplet is a Breakthrough Open Cloud Platform and Partner Ecosystem for Building and Deploying GRC Applications

Meanwhile, the Zicom SaaS Pvt Ltd, Head Marketing Chief  Cynthia Ghokale said that, ”  Net profit of Zicom Electronic Security Systems rose 43.62% to Rs 2.14 crore in the quarter ended March 2013 as against Rs 1.49 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2012. Sales rose 17.99% to Rs 82.76 crore in the quarter ended March 2013 as against Rs 70.14 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2012.The Company has recorded the sale ratio between 70 per cent for export and 30 perc cent in domestic market.The company has declared the dividend 12 per cent for FY 2013  against 10 per cent in the previous year.”

For the Audited full year,net profit rose 128.17% to Rs 8.10 crore in the year ended March 2013 as against Rs 3.55 crore during the previous year ended March 2012. Sales rose 21.42% to Rs 266.41 crore in the year ended March 2013 as against Rs 219.42 crore during the previous year ended March 2012.

BHOPAL, ( GNS ) : Central Bank of India’s first Women’s Branch in the State of Madhya Pradesh, situated at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, was inaugurated by Shri M.V. Tanksale, Chairman & Managing Director of the
Bank. Addressing a large gathering of customers and citizens on the occasion, Shri Tanksale stated that earlier also the Bank had taken the initiative to establish first ladies’ department in  the year 1924 for the benefit of women.

He also announced that Bank has launched a new  scheme named ‘Cent Kalyani’ for women entrepreneurs. Under this scheme, finance is made  available to units owned and controlled by women entrepreneurs having financial interest  of 51% of the capital, and giving at least 51% of employment generated in the enterprise to  women. Further, the Bank has also set up a ‘Women Entrepreneur Cell’ on the occasion of  International Women’s Day on 8 to women, the bank statement said.

In another programme, Shri Tanksale also launched Bank’s ‘Urban Financial Inclusion’ drive at Imamigate Branch, Bhopal. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Tanksale stated that under the urban financial inclusion programme, the Imamigate branch of the Bank has opened accounts  of general public by holding camps at different places in the city, which is a good initiative.
Free ATM cards have been issued by the Bank to such account holders, enabling them to withdraw cash from their accounts through ATM network. Coin distribution camps were also organized at both the branches for the benefit of general  citizens and customers of the bank, as part of a month long programme drawn up by the Bank for such camps at different centres.

MUMBAI, ( GNS) : Central airconditioning and commercial refrigeration major, Blue Star Limited has announced the elevation of B Thiagarajan as a Wholetime Director of the Company with effect from May 13, 2013.

B Thiagarajan (55) earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics degree from Madurai University, India. He completed a Senior Executive Program at the London Business School in 2006. He has over three decades of experience, having worked for L&T, BPL and Voltas prior to joining Blue Star, the company release said.

Blue Star has long been committed to promotion from within its ranks, all the way up to the Managing Director position. The company has had a series of professional employees on its Board of Directors for the last four or five decades, and this has motivated a very large number of high performers to stay on in the company for a large part of their careers. Thiagarajan is one more member of this elite group which also lists the current Managing Director in its ranks.

In his new assignment, Thiagarajan will oversee all manufacturing, marketing, after-sales service and supply chain activities of Packaged and Room Airconditioners, Refrigeration Products and Cold Storages. In addition, he will continue to be responsible for Corporate Communications & Marketing and Public Relations.

Thiagarajan plays an active role in the affairs of various industry forums, and is currently President of the Refrigeration and Airconditioning Manufacturers’ Association (RAMA). He is also a Member of National Council of Agriculture of CII, Chairman of the CII National Task Force on Cold Chain Development, and Executive Committee Member of the Indian Green Building Council.

Mumbai, ( GNS ): This week,Small Industries Development Bank of India ( SIDBI)  has launched a series of residential training programmes to train officials of Regional Rural Banks (RRBs), Non Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) and Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs), apart from its own select officials. The purpose of the training programmes is to make officials of these institutions understand about the enterprise lending to women as also impart them skills in gender sensitization. The training would cover 170 officials in 4 batches from senior, middle and junior level officials. A large number of the officials being trained are themselves women.

For the past 3 months, SIDBI has also been training poor women in financial literacy and imparting skills to run their micro enterprises. SIDBI has, so far, supported 40 such trainings in many cities of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Rajasthan. Overall, about 1,200 women have been trained under these programmes.  The participants learnt about issues like KYC, fixed deposits, critical factors for enterprise success, business cycle, etc.  From the feedback obtained, these women have understood many concepts not known to them earlier and which would help them in managing the day to day affairs of their businesses.

All the programmes are under a project for ‘Supporting Micro Entrepreneurship for Women’s Empowerment’.  The project is financed by Government of Japan under the Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction (JFPR) which is administered by Asian Development Bank (ADB).  The project covers five States of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Rajasthan.

The project’s aim is to help low income women entrepreneurs in accessing financial resources, services and market opportunities.  The project also aims to assess existing gender practices of banks, NBFCs, MFIs, etc. and organize specific training.  A monitoring and evaluation mechanism is planned to assess the results of activities under the project.

Mumbai, ( GNS) : Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank) and UK Trade and Investment ( UKTI)  have signed a Memorandum of Co-operation to promote business and investment opportunities and facilitate better co-operation between companies from the two countries. Mr. Nick Baird, Chief Executive, UKTI and Mr. Vikramaditya Ugra, Chief Executive, London Branch of Exim Bank signed the MOC on in the presence of Union Finance Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram and Mr. George Osborne, Chancellor of the Exchequer, Government of the UK on May 16, 2013, on the occasion of the Sixth UK-India Economic and Financial Dialogue. The signing also coincided with ‘Export Week’ being observed by the Government of the UK from May 13 to 17, 2013.

UKTI is an arm of the Government of the UK promoting two-way trade and investment flows from the country. It works with UK-based businesses to ensure their success in international markets, and encourages overseas companies to invest in the UK. Exim Bank and UKTI agreed to exchange information to boost co-operation particularly between SMEs from India and the UK, helping them locate suitable joint venture and trade partners. They will also share research to support their respective clients’ understanding of the market place in India and the UK.

MUMBAI, ( GNS) : Jain Irrigation Systems Limited engaged in manufacturing and selling of micro irrigation systems, controlled climate green & poly houses, piping systems, solar pumps and tissue culture plants has entered into a national level tie-up with State Bank of India, the premier bank in rural lending.
